My children grew up in a family that saw their mother slowly deteriorating.

Ann’s Story recounts how she contracted polio as a child, and spent a full year in rehab re-learning how to walk. After about 25 years, she has begun to experience post-polio symptoms and expresses that she will again succumb to polio in the future. (Courtesy, MaineHealth)
