I think a lot of people think things will just go back to normal overnight. Normal isn't really a word in my vocabulary; it's cope and adapt.

Elise caught COVID-19 and was expected to be able to get back to school after 2 weeks. Instead, her symptoms persisted for 17 months, losing her ability to walk and talk above a whisper.
